Teaching/Learning Support Assistant (Year 2)

Salary: WSCC Grade 3 £24,027 - £24,404 pro rata
Required: June 2025 or as soon as possible
Contract: Term-time, part time, 5 mornings with half an hour lunch duty 17.5 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join in the future development of our successful primary school, with high standards of behaviour and achievement.
We are seeking to appoint a keen and committed Teaching & Learning Assistant to support individual children, both academically and socially. The role is in Year 2 and includes half an hour lunchtime support for specific children. (The pro-rata rate 17.5 hours for 38 weeks per year plus leave approx. £9572 to £9722 before tax and NI).

The successful applicant will:
• have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including autism and speech and language difficulties both in small groups and 1:1
• understand how children learn
• have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum
• be a team player, as well as using their initiative
• have excellent literacy, numeracy & communication skills
• have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job
