| We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our outstanding teaching team. You will be responsible for teaching Science to students in Years 7 to 11, delivering engaging and creative lessons that develop and engage our students to think like a scientist. You will be a part of a forward-thinking, collaborative and supportive department that values innovation in teaching and a commitment to student success. As Key Stage 4 Leader, you will ensure successful delivery of the GCSE curriculum. Ensuring that students are making positive progress towards their end goals, as well as leading the team in effective teaching and learning strategies that supports students to get there. A dynamic and forward thinking team player will help us to develop and shape this next phase of our journey towards excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students in Years 7-11, adhering to the national curriculum. Deliver lessons that support students to acquire and retain scientific knowledge Assess and monitor students progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their personal and academic goals. Foster a classroom environment based on mutual respect, inclusivity, and a love of learning. Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to promote good teaching and learning and student development. Contribute to the wider life of the school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral support. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong subject knowledge of Science, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level. A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to student progress and achievement.
