| We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our outstanding teaching team. You will be responsible for teaching Science to students in Years 7 to 11, delivering engaging and creative lessons that develop and engage our students with a love for science. You will be a part of a young, forward-thinking, collaborative and supportive department that values innovation in teaching and a commitment to student success. This is supported by 4 subject specialist technicians who ensure that all practical work supports you and our students to observe science in action. The faculty work hard as a team but also have a great sense of humour and achieve a healthy work-life balance. We are looking for a team player who will help us to develop and shape the next phase of our journey to excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students in Years 7-11, adhering to the national curriculum. To engage students deeply with science through lessons that inspire awe and wonder Assess and monitor students progress, providing feedback to help them achieve their personal and academic goals. Foster a classroom environment based on mutual respect, inclusivity, and a love of learning. Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to promote literacy, numeracy and student development. Contribute to the wider life of the school community through extracurricular activities or pastoral support. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong subject knowledge of science, with the ability to teach up to GCSE level. A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to student progress and achievement.
