Behaviour Hub Manager
Full time, permanent from September 2025 Teachers’ Main Pay Range / Upper Pay Range The Weald Community School & Sixth Form is looking to appoint an energetic, enthusiastic and hard working Behaviour Hub Manager to join the school from September 2025. The position has become available due to the well deserved promotion of the current post holder. In the last 3 years they have made a tremendous contribution to the school in setting up this provision which was most recently praised by Ofsted. We are looking for someone to build on this success and lead the next chapter. The Weald is a high achieving, popular and oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school and sixth form college, situated in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, 10 minutes from Horsham, 35 minutes from Guildford and Brighton, and an hour by train to London. The school has an excellent record of academic and pastoral achievement and we pride ourselves in creating a caring and respectful ethos where every child is important. Last summer, our A-level results placed us as the best 6th form provider in West Sussex; at GCSE our students achieved almost half a grade higher than their expected outcomes. The core purpose of this post is to manage the Ready To Learn (RTL) Centre efficiently to provide a full behaviour support, inclusion and intervention system to students, providing them with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential alongside personal and academic growth. The RTL Centre is populated by students who have been removed from normal lessons on a short-term basis. This may be in response to a one-off incident requiring short term intervention or for an extended period following more habitual behaviours. It is expected that the successful candidate will deliver lessons (mainly basic English, Maths and Science) in small groups and lead behaviour mentoring for students who have been involved in poor behaviour and require restorative support. QTS status is essential. This role would lend itself to anyone who is comfortable with high emotions, calm and has unwarranted optimism for the futures of all young people. If you think you have what it takes to join The Weald’s friendly and professional team, we would love to hear from you. We warmly welcome visits to the school from interested candidates. Please contact HR hr@theweald.org.uk, if you would like to arrange a visit. To apply, please download and complete our application form (see our website www.theweald.org.uk) and submit a letter, addressed to Sarah Edwards, Headteacher, of no more than one A4 side, stating why you would be suited to this post. Please email it, along with your completed application form to jobs@theweald.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 10am Monday 28th April 2025. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Thursday 8th May 2025. Safeguarding Statement This school and West Sussex County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service check along with other relevant employment checks, including satisfactory references. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, offering a supportive and welcoming environment for all. | |
