Job Advert: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School, Crawley Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Term Time Only, 30 hours per week Pay Grade: Grade 8, Pt 20 (£31,586 pro-rata) - Pt 24 (£34,314 pro rata), depending on experience Start Date: September 2025 We are a thriving and welcoming school in Crawley, seeking a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. If you are enthusiastic about supporting children and contributing to a positive learning environment, we would love to hear from you! Role Overview: As a HLTA, you will be expected to support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons, working with pupils both individually and in groups. Your role will include: Leading small group or 1:1 intervention Providing occasional cover when a teacher is absent Providing feedback to pupils on their progress Helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Supervising pupils during lunchtime and breaks as needed What We Are Looking For: HLTA qualification or equivalent (Level 4 or above). Previous experience working in a similar role, ideally within a primary or secondary school setting. Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
