Speech & Language Learning Support Assistant
Required to start September 2025 (subject to pre-employment checks) 8.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, including midday meals supervision, Term time only Grade 6 Point 9: £26409 pro rata per annum Are you looking to join a school with a family feel and dedicated and enthusiastic team? Buckingham Park Primary are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Speech & Language Learning Support Assistant to join the team where learning together and learning for life are integral to our ethos. We are looking for someone who:- Has experience working with children with speech, language and communication needs in an educational setting Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children with SCLN Experience using Makaton and alternative communication methods (desirable) Knowledge of Down's Syndrome, Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and Autism and how they impact on speech, language and communication development (desirable) Candidates should ideally have a qualification for Teaching/Support Assistant and possess GCSE/’O’ Level in Mathematics and English, as well as being able to relate well to children. First Aid training would be desirable but not essential as training may be given.
