Each pattern will seek to meet the following accessibility requirements by default but it is important to bear in mind that accessibility can only be tested properly when components are incorporated in to the overall digital solution:
1. W3C WAI WCAG 2.0 Level AA
Each pattern will be required to pass the following conformance tests:
2. HTML 5 automated conformance
3. CSS 3.0 automated validation
The above browser support and accessibility considerations are being referenced in order to provide a benchmark for the digital guidelines project. However, browser and accessibility considerations are continually evolving, and therefore it may be important, from a governance perspective, to review these over time.
