1st Swim School is a West Sussex based swim school operating out of two pools, St Wilfrids Catholic Primary School in Burgess Hill and Hurstpierpoint College.

What we do

• It is the school's philosophy that each child/young adult can develop their swimming ability at their own pace. This means classes are restricted to a ratio of four pupils per teacher during the important early stages of learning.
• All 1st Swim School teachers are fully ASA/STA qualified, hold lifesaving certificates and have undergone Paediatric First Aid training. Keeping safe in and around water is the main focus of 1st Swim School's teaching.
• St Wilfrids - There is accessible parking outside the school, but as this is an old style school pool the building and pool area are not wheelchair accessible. The pool is 12 metres long and has ladder steps to access.
• Hurstpierpoint College - This is a 25 metre pool and has ladder steps to access the pool. There is no accessible parking and there is a walk from the car park to the pool building.
