Aspie Trainers is a service which aims to improve schools, services and the community for autistic people through providing high quality, first-person perspective training.

We employ and support autistic adults to design and deliver sessions to: parents and carers; schools; charities; health and social care workers; and private businesses with the aim of tackling stigma and promoting understanding and inclusion for autistic people.

What we do

  • Our sessions are designed to promote empathy with and inclusion of autistic people, whilst also providing practical advice to those living and working with autistic people
  • Current session titles include 'Introduction to autism', 'Communication on the autism spectrum' , 'Meltdowns and shutdowns' and 'Women and autism'. The team can also develop new, specific sessions based on trainee needs
