Blackberry Way Therapy offers play therapy and creative counselling to children and adolescents who are experiencing emotional challenges and who need a safe place to explore their thoughts and feelings.
My work is predominantly non-directive and child-centred. It is a creative therapy that allows the child to work within a warm and trusted relationship with the therapist to express through play or the arts what they may find hard to express verbally.

What we do

  • I offer 1-1 sessions in a purpose-built private therapy space in Cranleigh. I also have a therapy dog that can join the sessions if required.
  • I work with children and young people aged 3 - 18. Sessions are 40 minutes weekly, with a recommended minimum of 12 sessions.
  • I am a trauma-informed practitioner and have 15 years of experience working with children with social and emotional health needs, anxiety, neurodiversity, bereavement, abuse or family-related trauma.
  • I am an accredited Play Therapist and Creative Counsellor registered with PTUK. I am fully insured and a member of the DBS update service. I adhere to the ethics and values of the profession and receive regular clinical supervision.
  • Play is a powerful form of communication and can help a child make sense of their emotions, their experiences, their impulses and their behaviours. It helps them discover a sense of who they can be.
