The Butterfly Project started in 2009 and was originally developed as an alternative to traditional day centres in the area. Our roots and ethos are very much based on being part of the community, initiating and developing community projects, creating opportunities for the individuals we support and the wider community, providing excellent training, activities and sessions to ensure individuals can develop work and life skills.

What we do

  • We have worked hard to develop an exciting and diverse timetable which offers a wide range of activities and sessions to suit all abilities and needs.
  • Aside from our centre we also enjoy developing community projects and over the years have been able set up and run social clubs, music events, football training, day trips and nights out.
  • We feel opportunities to socialise and develop friendships and relationships are the most important aspect of what we do and very important to the individuals we support.
