The Child Brain Injury Trust provides emotional and practical support for children and families affected by childhood acquired brain injury (ABI). The charity offers advice and information regarding school support and transitions from hospital to home.
What we do
- The Child Brain Injury Trust's service is face-to-face, as well as over the phone and email. We have an advice, information and referral service for families and young people.
- The Child Brain Injury Trust's service is specifically for children and young people under the age of 18 years old, who have acquired a brain injury. This may be through stroke, tumour, illness, accident, fall, non-accidental injury, poisoning or more.
- We provide individualised support to enable children and their families to move forward following acquired brain injury
- We aim to improve the quality of life of those affected by raising awareness of the impact of a brain injury on the whole family and empowering those who can help by providing education and information.
- We aim to influence policy in health, social care, education and youth justice to improve access to support and the quality of support provided.
