Fishbourne Roman Palace is a great place to find out more about life in Roman times. The Palace dates back nearly 2000 years and was once a sumptuous Palace with mosaic floors, under-floor heating and beautiful gardens.

What we do

  • There is an interactive area which includes some hands-on activities including the opportunity to design your own mosaic, coin rubbing and archaeological activities.
  • There are daily guided tours and artefact handling sessions, or you can explore the site on your own to discover more about the people who lived at the Palace. Many extra activities and special events throughout the year.
  • Four accessible parking bays , three accessible toilets and two wheelchairs which can be loaned out. Inside the Palace is accessible and although there is accessibility to the garden, there are some gravel paths which may be difficult for wheelchair users.
