Freedom can provide a range of support services to children and adults with additional needs. We have experience of working young people and adults who have ASC, ADHD, PDA, Mental Health needs, Emotional and Behaviour needs.
Freedom believes in relationship first approach which means we provide consistent support with either an individual or a team of workers who are selected to meet the needs of the client. Mentoring, tutoring, coaching, support, care, respite: it is always best for us to have a conversation about needs and about what the outcomes are for the service we will then build a service to meet the needs of the client.
What we do
- Mentoring: Often children and young people need support from a trusted adult to help them adapt, overcome, build their resiliency. Freedom can offer a bespoke service to meet specific outcomes for the child or young person we are supporting. This is a great way to overcome anxieties, barriers created by additional needs, disabilities, mental health, Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) also referred to as ASD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
- Support: Freedom offers a range of support packages to meet a variety of diverse needs including: Challenging behaviours, including Emotional and behavioural disorders (EBD), hyperactivity, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) Depression Anxiety Social, Emotional and Mental Health Autism and ADHD including PDA and other autistic profiles.
- Family Coaching: Families evolve within an ever-changing set of dynamics, it can be difficult to get a handle on aspects of this change from time to time, and sometimes stepping out of your day-to-day life to reflect on what is going well and what needs more work on is what is needed.
- Short Breaks and Respite Families whose children have disabilities and special needs benefit from regular short breaks. This could be in the form of our Freedom Care team supporting your child away from the family home for a few days or by providing wrap around care within the family home.
- Young People: support is generally for children aged between 12 and 18. Support can be accessed as an intensive 24-hour 2:1 residential support package or less intensive provision for respite, crisis management or to bridge gaps between placements.
