We inspire a love and understanding of the natural environment and sustainable agriculture. The Trust connects children and adults with nature, particularly those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable. The Trust offers a range of outdoor learning experiences for all ages, centred around an accessible, purpose-built Education Centre. Activities take place in 20 acres of ancient woodland and at Goodwood's organic working farm.

What we do

  • Farm visits - a tour of the dairy enterprise, where children can make butter from cream, taste fresh, organic (pasteurised) milk, and learn about the lifecycle of dairy cows. Pigs can also be visited, after a walk across farmland.
  • Forest School and Forest Adventures - activities include a range of activities including natural arts and crafts, shelter building, campfire starting and cooking, simple tool use; flora, fauna and woodland exploration.
  • Outdoor Learning - raising awareness and knowledge of food, sustainable farming, heritage and the natural world, encouraging current and future generations to consider how they live and think about the world around them.
  • Accessible Education Centre - wheelchair accessible, has disabled and unisex toilet facilities, and ample parking for coaches and minibuses.

Our users say

Non-stop activities to try - from creating bird feeders, learning how to light a campfire safely then toasting marshmallows - washed down with hot chocolate. The children were very enthusiastic and learnt so much.
