Releasing Potential Enterprises is owned and operated by Releasing Potential, an educational charity and Independent School with bases of operation in West Sussex and Hampshire. A collection of not-for-profit social enterprise businesses , Enterprises offers safe, supported placements for young people hoping to make successful transitions into work post-16. Enterprises offers a range of workplace opportunities to children and young people who have not thrived in mainstream education.

What we do

  • A large range of vocational placements in successful small businesses owned by Releasing Potential, open to children aged 11-18 registered with Releasing Potential School.
  • Opportunities for outreach placements for non-registered students, on 6 or 12 week intervention programmes within exiting school placement arrangements.
  • Enterprises operates a retail shop, farm and textiles business all in West Sussex. We also operate an outboard engine repair and engineering business in Emsworth, Hampshire. These supply placements that can be accessed safely by students.
  • All staff at our Enterprises businesses are fully trained and are DBS checked. Releasing Potential Staff are trained to Level 3 (NCFE) in The Management of Challenging Behaviour.
  • All profits generated by Enterprises are reinvested into Releasing Potential School, an Independent School for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
