Visable Learning, presented by the SAND Project, is the name of our training facility, community hub and enterprise nerve centre.
It is a media cafe on the High Street - and other sites around Worthing - providing bespoke real-life work opportunities for 16-25 year olds with MLD based on what they WANT to do, and ensures their community 'customers' are fully included and involved in this process.
Our aim is to transition as many young people as possible into PAID employment.

What we do

  • Based in our social public media cafe, learning pathways are personally designed around trainee skills and interests. And if our magazine, cafe, kitchen, art and media hub do not offer the right work opportunities, we will create ones that do!
  • Highly qualified SEND education practitioners w/ business specialisms. Trainees matched to industry partner to support their learning journey. Supported work experience placements in relevant industries.
  • One-to-One mentoring and personalised pathway planning, including accreditations where relevant. In-house documentary maker positively promoting their progress and employability through storytelling social media.
  • SENDtoWork: supports interest led work training and transition into mainstream roles SENDtoSelf Employment: Supports creation, development and running of small bespoke business for highly qualified people with ASC who find the work place inaccessible.
  • Personalised E-MAP, an online Multimedia Achievement Passport, created for each trainee, to share videos and photos of their skills and abilities with future employers.
