TLC LIVE is committed to delivering high-quality, individualised tutoring sessions to children through our innovative online learning platform.

Our approach is designed to meet the educational needs of students from age 6 up to A level, offering a broad range of subjects including English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, RE, and ESOL. The flexibility of online delivery allows us to draw from a diverse pool of fully qualified teachers, ensuring that the quality of education is not compromised by geographical limitations. This enables us to deliver sessions that are both accessible and tailored to the specific needs of each student.

Expected Timeframes and Length of Intervention: TLC LIVE prides itself on its efficiency in responding to referrals. Typically, students can start their lessons within 24 hours of the referral being made. This rapid response minimises time out of education and helps keep students engaged with their learning. The length of the intervention is flexible and tailored to the needs of each student. The initial length of provision is agreed upon during the planning meeting, but this can be reviewed and adjusted throughout the intervention to ensure it remains appropriate and effective.

What we do

• We can run lessons at anytime including weekends and holiday times, our hours are flexible to accommodate your lesson timetable so if you need a lesson to start at 10 past 10, we can.
• Additional Services: While our primary focus is on academic subjects, TLC LIVE also offers a range of supplementary services to support the personal, social, and emotional development of students. These include careers guidance, CV writing, PSHE (Personal, Social, and Health Education), and mock exams.
• One of the reasons that schools and Local Authorities choose our service is that we don't do contracts, so while you can book in a term's worth of sessions, as we invoice monthly, you only pay for lessons that have been received, all we ask for is 24 hours to cancel or re-arrange a lesson.

Focus of tuition: Maths and English - We are currently working with a year 11 student who has shown significant academic improvement since we started working with them when they were in year 9. When referred, the pupil was working well below the expected age-related level, but now is in line with the expected age-related level for year 11. Originally starting with one hour of Maths support per week, this was then increased to include an hour of English per week too. The school reported that the pupil’s confidence has increased, and that the pupil wishes to continue in education post-16. He described the maths tuition as helpful, which was evidenced by his maths grade improving.
